House rules

In the regulations below, you will find the most important house rules applicable within our hotel. We ask you to respect and accept these rules. The house rules are available for inspection at the reception.

General rules

  • All instructions from hotel staff related to house rules must be followed.

  • In case of fire, stay calm. Report the fire to the reception and/or activate the nearest fire alarm.

  • Leave the building immediately in case of a general fire alarm.

  • In case of fire, do not use the elevators.

  • A valid identification must be shown at check-in. Check-in is possible starting from the age of 18. Both guests must be 18 years or older.

  • Cameras are placed at various locations within the building. Anyone present in our hotel consents to being recorded. In the event of emergencies and/or incidents, these recordings may be shown to third parties as supporting material.

  • Lost and found items must be handed in at the reception.

  • The hotel is not responsible for loss or theft of your belongings.

  • The Management, the owner of this location, and/or persons working for the Hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage that visitors to the location may experience.

  • The room should be cleaned every day due to hygiene regulations.

  • Pets are only allowed in our brasserie and in the pet rooms.

It is forbidden to:

  • Emergency exits to be used as normal entrances and exits.

  • Taking hotel property outside the building. Intentionally damaging hotel property may result in being held liable for repair and/or replacement costs.

  • To consume, use, trade, or possess narcotics.

  • It is prohibited to use nitrous oxide balloons and to bring nitrous oxide bottles or cartridges into the room (In case of doubt, you may be asked to allow inspection of your luggage to gain access).

  • Causing nuisance to others, including through loud music, obnoxious behavior, or noise of any kind.

  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the building. If we determine that smoking has taken place, a fine of €250.00 will be imposed. This also applies to covering and/or disabling the smoke detector.

  • Staying in the room with more people than the reserved number. This number of people must identify themselves at the reception.

  • Visit to be received in the room.

  • Receiving guests in the rooms for the purpose of sexual commercial activities.

  • Use open fire and/or candles throughout the hotel.

Rules suite

  • Smoking is not permitted throughout the hotel. If you violate this rule, the hotel will charge you € 250.00 for extra cleaning costs and/or damages incurred.

  • It is absolutely forbidden to light candles/incense due to the fire alarm and fire hazard. (The security system is activated immediately).

  • Certain decorations, such as balloons and confetti, are not allowed in the hotel rooms. Please ask at the reception if your decoration is permitted. Additional cleaning costs or technical malfunctions as a result of this will be the guest's responsibility.

  • A maximum of 2 people are allowed in this room. If you wish to bring a baby, we can place a crib for € 14.50 per night. Children under 12 are allowed provided one adult is present, and the total number of people in the room is 2. Bringing children/babies is entirely at your own risk.

  • Checking out of this room is no later than 12:00 PM, after which we will inspect the room.

  • In case of damage, loss, or destruction of hotel property, it will lead to immediate removal, liability, and/or police report.

  • We charge a deposit of €250.00 for our suites. You are required to pay this upon check-in. We will return the deposit to you upon check-out, provided the suite is left in proper condition.

  • Presenting a valid ID is mandatory

  • The use, trading, or possession of narcotics (in any form) is prohibited. In the case of using or dealing drugs, the hotel management will involve the police and may proceed to removal without refund of payment.

Violation of house rules

In the above regulations, you will find the house rules applicable at Hotel Groningen - Zuidbroek A7. You are required to adhere to these rules. Violation of any house rules may be immediately reported to the police without regard to the person, and access may also be denied.

In the event of violation of the rules as stated in this house rule or when there is other undesirable or unlawful behavior, Hotel Groningen - Zuidbroek A7 reserves the right to place you on the Alert List for a certain period and/or, in case of a serious violation, to share your information with other Van der Valk hotels so that you are not welcome there either. In case of being placed on the Alert List, you will receive written notification of this. As the booker of the room, you are responsible for the guests you bring. If a guest staying in a room booked by you violates the house rules or engages in unwanted or unlawful behavior, we can place you as the booker on the Alert List and hold you accountable for any damages.

In all cases not provided for in these regulations, the Management of the hotel will decide.
