Corporate Social Responsibility

Van der Valk Hotel Groningen - Zuidbroek A7 complies with the following agreements:

• We actively contribute to the development of our field and the transfer of our knowledge to others who want to learn the craft.

• We inform our working relationships (client/customer, colleagues, and suppliers) that we engage in socially responsible entrepreneurship.

• We make transparent agreements with the client/customer and/or suppliers about the quality of our services and monitor the quality we deliver.

• We determine the social impact of our services and limit this as much as possible, especially when it comes to a negative impact such as fraudulent actions, intimidation, exploitation, and child labor.

• We ensure both the continuity of our business and that of the employee and we take care of provisions should we face loss of income.

• We voluntarily contribute to social causes through donations and sponsorships and/or through volunteer work. We contribute to art and culture by making space available for exhibitions and participating in the governance of foundations for art and culture.

• We continuously work on reducing the environmental impact of our company.

• We continuously work on improving our own procurement process regarding the purchase of (office) materials and services with an environmental and/or social label. This also applies to the purchase of Food & Beverage products.
